Administrative procedures

Both married and unmarried couples  can legally recognize their child starting from the sixth month of pregnancy. The procedure takes place at the city hall of your place of residence. Both future parents must be present and show their identification. No appointment is necessary.
If you are not married, you can legally recognize your child in advance at the city hall of your place of residence.
You must present the document you receive after this procedure when you register the birth at the Neuilly-sur-Seine city hall.
