MY CHILDBIRTH

Our mission for the birth of your child is to respect your choices and physiological needs while ensuring safety for you and your baby

Highly competent professionals are on hand to assist you, and an obstetrician is on duty in the hospital 24/7 in the event of an emergency.
The delivery rooms are located right in the hospital maternity, on the 2nd floor of Building F.

The baby’s father is welcome in the delivery room. Only one person can accompany you during labor and the birth, with the midwife’s consent. Please ask this person to move about as little as possible so as not to disturb the hospital team.

When you arrive, the midwife on duty will assist and examine you. She will keep you informed of your labor progress, and contact your obstetrician when the time is right.
During the birth, you will be assisted by a midwife, a pediatric nurse aide, an obstetrician/gynecologist and an anesthesiologist.

After the birth, you will stay in the delivery room for at least two hours for monitoring purposes. This also gives you the chance to start bonding with your baby. Immediate care is provided to your newborn by the midwife and pediatric nurse aide. In the first hours following the birth, a pediatrician will perform a complete examination of your baby. The pediatrician can also be present during the birth, on request from your obstetrician.

If you have decided to breastfeed, the first feeding will take place in the delivery room.

After approximately two hours, you will be taken to your room with your newborn.

If you are undergoing a cesarean section, you will be admitted to the operating suite by the medical team. Following the procedure, you will be taken to the recovery room, where our staff will do their best to make sure your baby is with you.
