Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)

The American Hospital of Paris has been providing non-invasive screening expertise to pregnant women since 2013.
Over the course of five years, close to 10,000 pregnant women have benefitted from an NIPT or fetal DNA test after an initial prenatal consultation.  

Based on a simple maternal blood draw, the IONA® test screens for Trisomy 21, 13 and 18 (in accordance with recommendations from the Haute Autorité de Santé). This test is performed by the American Hospital of Paris laboratory.
